Dr. Pavla Šimková is an expert in American and Eastern European history. She received her doctorate at the Amerika-Institut in 2019. Pavla is currently one of the editors of the journal WerkstattGeschichte. Her books include Urban Archipelago: An Environmental History of the Boston Harbor Islands (University of Massachusetts Press 2021) and Entire of itself?: Towards an environmental history of islands (White Horse Press 2024).
