Biography:

Prior to her studies at LMU Munich, Alexandra studied at New York Film Academy and Matthew Corozine Studios in New York City. She has worked for international film and theater productions in several countries as well as for German dubbing studios as a translator, dialogue writer, and voice actor. She completed her Bachelor's degree in North American Studies at LMU with a thesis on the resilience of German enemy images in Hollywood cinema in the context of evolving transatlantic relations and her Master’s degree with a thesis on the concept of heroic masculinity as found in American filmmaking and visual politics of the Reagan era. Currently, Alexandra works as lecturer for American cultural history and is a doctoral candidate at the Amerika-Institut. Her dissertation examines Cold War culture and politics of the 1970s and 1980s.
